EGR. Last longer !
I went to the Volvo dealer to check on some of these new parts I saw at the Louisville truck show, I ran into an sale person at the volvo dealer and he said, his use trucks have an better service recored than the competition, selling the same equipment. he says they put a file in the ECU call EGR DOWNLOAD this is to slow down the opening and closing of the EGR valves, this file in question comes from Volvo.
Its supposed to make the EGR valves last two thirds longer than original, has anybody heard of this, I'm going in this Saturday To have the ECU#check out, to see if this files in my ECU, if not they will install it.

I have an VT64T880 with the 16 Litre (625 HP).
Can I block off the EGR, or restrict it an get a few more ponies?
I do heavy haul and need all the performance I can get.
Thanks
