Eaton ultrashift 10 speed fully automatic

07 VNL 780 D12,eaton ultrashift 10 speed two pedal full automatic. The truck has 678,000 miles.I got mid 130 sid 55 fmi 13 code or clutch solenoid valve out of calibration. It got stuck and wouldnt get into gear.I disconnected the batteries for 30 minutes, connected all back and the problem disappeared, code became inactive .Made it home (2200 miles) with no issues except it was kind of bouncy taking off kind a like a clutch going bad would feel like. But it was pulling strong going through WY,UT,NV and CA.Code remained inactive.I dont really know much about this tranny nor do my trusted mechanics. The dealer is gonna be the last place i will take it to since they probably know less then my 2 year old.At least my local dealer.Anyone out there with similar problems or has anyone replaced a clutch or a solenoid valve on a ultrashift transmission, how much does it cost and any good transmission shops you know of west of the Mississipi that will work on fully auto ultrashift.Any help is appreciated. Thanks and be safe out there

i have a friend who has an auto-shift which is different, it's a 3 pedal & that happened to him also. he did as u said u did & the transmission was fine after that. by disconnecting the batteries it resets the transmission & ur good to go, so i've been told by numerous mechanics, but my question is what do u do if it persists & won't go away?

I wish this is someone else truck.Thats what i hear a lot from Ultrashift owners.I do realy like mine,i just replaced my clutch and got laugh from people from Volvo asking to see this misterious clutch selenoid. The mater of fact is that this is just a code saying your clutch is bad apparently. So after 2300 $ in new clutch my truck is sifting as S__T.There was one reasonable statement from Volvo people that this clutch is self adjusting clutch and should make loud pop sound when engaging in first two gears on downshifting. So if its not poping somethings wrong. The funny thing is i just had one of my batteries explode just recently replaced the bad battery and all my trans problems went away.

Thanks janboskit i spoke to a tech support guy from eaton automated products last week and he told me the same thing there is no solenoid its just the way the code was set by volvo but its the clutch itself.I had the same problem last week where the truck stopped in the middle of the frwy in rush hour and wouldnt go into gear from neutral. But after i shut it off and back on it was normal so i made it from LA to Atlanta and back without any issues!!!But i am not gonna gamble any longer i'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning and will have that clutch replaced.I just have to take some pills before i go though but i dont have any other choice. All the mechanics i asked have never replaced this kind of clutch. So i hope this is gonna resolve my trany problems.I changed all four batteries all connectors are clean x-y shifter is changed so this is the last thing on the list.2300 $ is not so bad i was expecting 3-4000 $ but i'll see what TEC of Fontana will charge and how they are gonna deal with this. They are not my favorite dealership.I'll keep you guys posted

Problem resolved!Thx to janboskit for the useful info.2300$ for a new clutch and all is back to normal.Did 4000 miles in the northwest at max loads and it felt excellent more powerful then ever, and shifting very good.I have to give credit to TEC of Fontana they did a great job this time so no pills required
