I know I'm a little late on this but. My temp shows 172 or so. I have my egr crossover tube blocked in the front of the motor. No hot exhuast gases back in to motor. I'm looking for a hotter thermostat now.

I have a D12 volvo 780 model2005. Runs very well but coolant temp very low sometimes 128 degrees in winter. When it gets this low, AC/Heater wont give me heat!! when outside temp gets better like 50 coolant rises to b'tween150 to 160 but never gets to 170 except in real hot weather in summer. When I cover the front grill with cardboard it gets warmer and cab gets heat. Whet it shows too low on temp gauge on dash, I stop, open hood radiator cap and stick finger .....and I find coolant just warm, even after an upgrade hauling a regular ..like 30,000 lbs.
Anyone with an idea about such low temps,

Thanx QUALITY TRUCK. I'll give feedback here as soon as I have new thermostat fitted. Suggestion appreciated.
