I got this truck in May of this year, so I never sparked it up until this week, so when I park at home I have a warm cab when I go to work.
Well, after I broke out the owners manual to figure it out, what a PAIN! Unless I can't compute, it sure seems like they've made it difficult, from being able to set a timer (which I initially thought would be the cats meow) to just turning it off in the am, its not a quick click and jump back in the pilots seat. Its more like, click click click, grrr, click click, wth? click click, more grr.. LOL
I understand the temperature control is the thermostat setting, as to how hot the cab will get (Figured that one out on my 06 I had... after I baked night after night haha), but a simple Bunk heater ON/OFF switch would sure be nice.. no timers, or auto settings etc.
Anyone share in this frustration?

The "click click click" is from the heater "fuel pump", not the timer. The only way to quiet that down is to move the "fuel pump" mounting location or isolate with a rubber mount.

new metering pump is loud.
Factory mount is insolated with rummer, but I use foam rubber. Insolates better -
I have volvo 630 2009 and until now I don't know how to turn the bunk heater on !! Sometime it works and sometimes It doesn't !! The problem that Volvo dealer " where I bought it" told me that the heater can never work while the truck engine is off ... I should run the engine all the night to stay warm but the problem that it works sometime without the truck engine but not all the time !! What the trick ??
