    Well Guy,s settled on a 2010 780 with d 13 and a 13 speed trans. 342 rears. I,ll keep you posted with my luck on this new buy. thanks for the help.

    Hello, firts time post:

    I'm also in the process of purchassing a 2009 780 with D13 485 hp engine w/ 13 smanual with 570,000. miles has generator on it also.

    What kind of fuel mpg,s can i expect. And what kind of issues should i expect for this st up. I haul funiture so not to heavy. Run FL to ME and MI to FL so my hauls inlight except for my back haul to FL

    Have them do an ECM dump and pull all the info. That should show you the fuel mileage that the truck has gotten and also will disclose any problems if there should be any.

    Get the vin # call volvo north american in nc. They will tell you what warrenty work was done . They can also tell you which dealer sold the truck, and what company bought it. Then you can call the service dept. and get mant. records on the truck.

    Iam O/O 2008 volvo 780 d13 i-shift rears 3.08 , now 785000miles. buy 1 year ago with 765000miles.

    6.2 - 7.3 MPG

    now i have problem with ishift(( maybe I'll put a mechanical transmission. new ishift cost 14000$
