Yes it fixed my problems. I took the filter off the truck and had it cleaned. When it didn't solve the problem I got a rebuild kit for the 7th injector and that fixed it. The tip of it was plugged with soot. You must have a bad sensor somewhere. It must be telling it there is to much back pressure. It's probably those tubes on the side of the filter. That would be the only thing I can think of.

What did the shop tell you? Or have you not gotten back to it.

I know it's a old tread but Just a heads up if the regen is not getting hot enough it will not do a good enough regen to get the soot out so it will keep regening. One of the causes of this is a cracked flex pipe that is on the inlet side of the dpf. It usually acts up in the winter time when the flex pipe is cracked

Here is the possible regen problem fix. At least it was for the d13 I drive. Two years ago it would not regent while driving or parked. It would only go into regen in the morning as soon as the engine temp showed OK in regen status. Every two days i would wonder if it would go in. Our mechanic changed the 328 switch twice, new harness, egr cool let, egr, cleaned dpf, turbo, everything under the sun. A week ago I started to get water in fuel on hud. Changed filters but came back the next day. Then started giving me problems at first start. Finally it died on road and our mechanic did a road service for the filters again. Got me back to shop but not running right. Kept it in the next day and found a type of banjo bolt that holds fuel pressure wasn't holding the pressure. You could blow right through it although it's suppose to hold 3000 psi in the line. He changed it and the next day I full regent while driving. The first time in 2 years. This banjo bolt must not have been giving number 7 enough pressure for regen. All that time the hud stated system fault but wouldn't say what. Apparently it was fuel pressure. So if you are scratching your head and already tried everything you could think of. Give this fuel line bolt a try. It may be your answer
