ved12 465hp very very low mpg

Maybe,I forgot,hey positiveone does your Volvo make a ticking noise.i installed a reman d12 and it's got a pretty loud ticking noise Volvo checked the over head and said every them was fine,there was a guy on here that said his and his friends d12 also make that noise,was just wondering if that's something normal with the d12 thanks

 

How much can exhaust leaks cost mpg ? especially ones where there is a soot stain on the block

 

every 07 i've been around has the worst fuel economy in the history of semi's. i've only heard of one that actually hits 6. and he has a cat in his pete. inframed for 500 horse.

my first OTR company coming back on the road. bought 4 FL's. with detroits. they won't even hit 4.

 

Test CAC, have the overhead run by someone who knows what they are doing, put the correct volvo fuel filters on, plug the egr cross over pipe and then see where your at. If you have 3.42 or 3.36 rears your screwed. This was a really bad spec and does nothing but hurt mpg. I just went 160 miles empty and got 9 mpg at 60 mph.

 

Also, check you don't have leaks around the outlet of the turbo to the intake manifold to the CAC. There are o rings there and you will get blow by if they don't seal probably.
