Is there a solution to the dim headlights? Will a different bulb make a difference?? I have cleaned up the headlight plastic lenses, with no improvement. Anybody?????

Have you aimed them. Every truck I've driven for my company had them aimed too low. Once aimed they work great.

I forked over $800 for new assemblies. Clear/new works best.not economical...but sure makes truck look better.

Try using the sylvania silver bulbs, or convert to hid bulbs

Top of the line Sylvania bulbs help some. You might want to try 3M headlight restoration. Worked on my headlights.

I have a brand new truck and have noticed the lights seem to be very poorly adjusted. I upgraded to a good bulb but that wasn't the problem, I can see the projectors "d.o.t. Step" on the ground very visibly which I know is not proper so I pulled up to a wall to properly aim them. Now the low beam is perfect, but I noticed the high beam is too high, kind of glaring whereas before the high beams were perfect.

My conclusion is that the shield inside the projector is the problem and needs to be shaved down in order to get a properly aimed cutoff line without sacrificing the aim of the high beams. The problem is that's alot of work and would require dismantling the headlight.

Projector only does the low beam???
Is there not a separate adjustment for high beam?

I have not had a look at my lights yet but high beam heads off into the trees, real good to know the trees are not running out on to the road but not so helpful to actually see down the road..

No, it is a single adjustment for both beams
