At 925,000 miles, my radiator springs a leak at the point where the plastic meets the metal. Haven't tested the charge air cooler, but I'm told replacing it now is a good idea. I was told Duralite makes the best, but their price at $1500- is almost twice that of Northern Radiator at $875, another manufacturer that's recommended. I could stick with OEM, but then...any thoughts? No BS please.

What is it going in? How long do you plan on keeping the truck, all of these factors play into what you should do but for me cheap is easy! But I'd have to know the "Rest of The Story" Thanks

we tried to fix radiators, taking apart, resealing and assembling. But really - half life only

Radiators go bad with rought roads. Detroit rads are good, really

intercooler is much easier to fix with welding.

KR says duralite is the best for Charge air...I'd think they make quality rads as well. For me, my truck is an investment....I only want to use the best, because long term its worth it. If your gonna sell in a year or 2, but the cheap stuff. Pitts Power makes rads as well and there stuff is generally pretty good. Id see what they have to offer for your truck.

same thing happened to me. turned out it was a clamp on rubber hose that got loose. you might want to check it b4 buying new radiator.

Dura Lite CAC is the way to go for sure. 7 year million mile warranty, don't waste your time on the oem CAC, it will be toast within in 6 months. Detroit Rad or a Pittsburgh power Rad, only get the best. There is such a gap in quality between the best and the oem.
