transmission serivce light coming on

    hi everyone
    i have 2003 volvo 780 with auto 10 speed transnision i let my truck sit for 2 months
    after i started it drove it for 30-40 mins
    the temp went to 160-170 it didnt over heat but when im in 5th gear when my rpm between 12-15
    service light starts blinking to check the transmission and also does that when im in
    10th gear between 12-15 rpm service light starts blinking to check the transmission
    thank you

    Not a transmission guy. But seems like 1500 rpms in 5th gear is over revved (the highest of your low end gears) and 1500 rpms too high (on the highest of your high end gears). Leaning towards trying a transmission filter change. Sounds plugged up,full of deposits.

    it was 2 sesnsors on top of the transmission called the main shiftting sensor that control the high and low gear
    i changed them both of them and truck has been fine

    check it for VSS ore countershaft speed fault code.... becouse when transmission is in top gear it makes maximum vibration if any bearing is worn, also check for magnetic dirt on speed sensors
