Ok, Found the bolts. I have 3. First 2 came right out. The bottom bolt that gets the most salt spray turned and turned. So the insert in the housing must be spinning when the bolt is turned. Guess I'll have to end up having the dealer work on it next time it comes in for an oil change.
    Thanks for all the help.

So is yours an assembly or do you have an access to a bulb? I'm sure they're will be others and this thread can be handy.

the fog light/ driving light "assembly" is held in by the bolts shown, the assembly slides out the front then the bulbs are changed the same as the headlights from the back of the assembly, then slid it back in and reinstall the bolts.

as a side note if someone wanted to UPGEADE the lights (you must have fog or driving light to start with) all that is need is to get the new assembly and go to the dealer and get the wiring for the new lights (about $60) and plug it in then you will need to go to the dealer and have the LCM reprogramed so the new light will turn on.... all Volvo trucks that have driving or fog light are wired for both they just don't have the last 4ft wire for the other set..... uses the same switch and fuse, fog lights will work with low beam and driving with high beam.

    Update
When the dealer did the oil change they changed the bulb. As before the bottom bolt of the 3 bolts holding the fog lite housing spun in the housing. They somehow got the head off and now I just have 2 bolts holding everything together.
The right side fog went out a couple of days ago but thankfully all the bolts broke free and I changed her out. That's what we have to put up with up Nort with salt. Bolts after 3 years seize up. I put anti-seize on anything I put back together.
thanks for all the help and posting pics. This makes it a lot easier.

You shouldn't get a warning message with that bulb, but it's lower wattage:
    881 27W
    896 37.5W
    886 50W

only IF your LCM is set to...... the LCM CAN check most of the lights on the truck but may only be set to check some..... mine will not tell me if a fog light is out but went nuts when I changed to led turn singles.... had it reprogramed for the leds at the same time I added the driving lights..... when I added the driving lights the lcm didn't know I had them installed (all factory wiring) so they wouldn't turn on until it was programed to do so

I have a 2015 780 and just replaced my own fog and driving lights took me 10-15 mins max. Just loosen bolts behind bumper light housing comes out front replace bulbs tighten bolts then adjust beam with the two screws on lens. Top screw is for driving lights and bottom is for fog.
