It started this week. When pulling a hill or into a good headwind, the truck loses boost and egt slowly until it barely musters 15 psi. No codes come up. After not have load on the engine for 5 or 10 minutes, next time power is needed it is there, but will dissipate again. What's been done so far- egr cooler checked/good, turbo actuator test/good, went for a run with a Volvo tech with the laptop plugged in. Engine did it for him, but everything checked out on the laptop, all good. I've already changd the fuel filters. New dura lute cac hoses and clamps, no exhaust or boost leaks. Changed a boost sensor, no effect. Volvo calgary says injectors, I'm not convinced, I'm running her home empty to my dealer in ontario. Any ideas?

I would say either one of the injectors is bad or your DPF filter is bad

So far coming home, I have no regen issues. Its working normally. There is no miss/vibration like a bad injector. I find it hard to believe that with only 353000 on these injectors and cups that they need to be replaced?? Conical/stainless are in there fyi.

I would say you've got injector problems. The ones in my old ford pickup I have on the farm never had the miss or shake of a bad injector. But I couldn't ever get enough power. You could also have low compression issues too.

Talked to a buddy of mine. He runs a 08 cascadia said that he had the same issue turned out it was an exhaust leak before the turbo on some boot or another. Anyways that is the only thing else I can think of that your losing your exhaust gases before the turbo

at 250K miles the dpf filter needs to be taken out and burned off and then around another 100K

my 08 D13 has 372K and is now in the shop for it's 3rd injector cup issue.

Sounds like maybe fuel restriction check the check valve in the davco filter base and the is one in the spin on filter base

I replaced my Davco wiht a FASS a while ago. I don't have any fuel pressure problems. While the truck was losing power a volvo tech was with me wiht the laptop hooked up and the fuel pressure was good.
