Apples and oranges, the don't compare. Bigger displacement and bigger turbo. Of course you'll make more boost. I'm not piling a sled at the county fair. I choose to make at least 7 mpg wherever i go. That means I can from ga up 77 and 81 grossing 76k with cruise on the whole way (because I'm lazy) and avg 6.7 for the trip.

My mistake I missed the part about it being a Volvo forum. I don't pull a sled have never been hooked to one and don't run fast either usually 57 or 58 mph but boy can I go up a hill or mountain.

    Reopening this thread.
Ive finally taken care of the egr valves. Otrperf.

Next, im going to install a boost gauge.

I do still have a pretty big problem with turbo. I just had it off 2 weeks ago, to replace ex mani gaskets. Looked fine, mechanic approved of it. But when im climbing , heavy, i hear a pretty sizable hiss. Only under full throttle . Oncei flatten out, it goes away.

Here is my question tho....is there an actuator on this turbo....where is it?

Most likely a leaking intercooler hiss....That's exactly how mine acted.

Make sure you replace o rings when replacing this pipe. Mine truck was missing the o rings under those clamps. I gues somone before forgot to install them when replacing the flex hose.
