Can the king pins be replaced on these type of air ride front axles? Just called to get pricing and Volvo said I have to replace the entire axle and king pins cannot be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

start using a different volvo dealer.not only are they replaceable, but might very well be easier to do than standard king pins.the kaiser "no ream"kits do not work very well for this application.hendrickson kit through volvo works well with proper reaming.good luck.

There is a bushing kit! Pins are part of the axle. I did mine last year and the kit cost less then 200.00 bucks.

How much movement did you have on the kingpins and miles? I was told the hendrickson axle 05 years were bad and they need to be replaced. Thats a lot more $$$ but even more if i go cheap and try the bushings and bearings only and need the axle. Thoughts?

Different topic but if you set the ride height to 1.5-1.75" between frame and bump stops , your ride quality will be like an expensive motor coach !!
    The difference is trully incredible!!
(And much less front end sway)
