Yes, you can get the new LED head lights from Volvo dealers, saw them at the Kentucky truck show, from the after market Volvo accessory parts department.
I was told the truck has to be newer than 2006 for the lights to work properly, not really sure about the cut off date. Also the parameters have to be updated ECM.

It depends on the dealer 800 to 1,200 for two headlights I was told in a round about way. Trucklite is making the head lights in question for Volvo.

By the second week of April all the Volvo dealer should have all the info.

Its time to see what we run over in the dark.!

The dealer by me already has all the parts numbers for the headlights, he's just waiting for Volvo to update their system, he thinks by the end of this week are done deal.:biggrin_25515:

The low beams on the 660 I had for a good long while were plenty bright, the high beams were like turning on a spot light.

as if anne ferrow's contributions to the accident factor wasn't enough.

someone wants to take out a mortage and add to her factor.

really LED is not supported by LCM so when lamps are of they will blink with bulb test procedure and LCM may throw bad bulb faut code

And yet for some reason I keep having to encounter Volvo's driving down the road with their high beams on.

As to LEDs, I sure hope they've figured out a way to melt snow off them, otherwise the OP will be driving blind as they get covered.

The low beams on a 780 just suck. The lack of visibility is pretty amazing. If I have ANY REAL separation between the opposite side of the freeway I run with my high beams on. I feel like a jerk doing it but the low beams are just not safe at highway speeds. The fog lamps are better than the low beams.

I can't wait to get a set of those new led headlights. I just want to see which dealer and where will have the best price on them. I personally think they will be worth every penny to finally be able to see at night
