Just replaced fuel pump, boost sensor, position sensor, and fuel pressure sensor now half the time the fan won't cut on engine over heats and shuts engine down, suspect temperature sensor, but where do I find it. Truck has drained us money wise and can't go to a shop right now. Have a loss of power to. Any suggestions.

What engine do you have? Does the fan engage on and off when a/c is on? On cummins isx water temp sensor should be on top of the thermostat housing where your top coolant hose runs to from radiator. Also would look at the thermostat and waterpump as well.

Its a d12 , the fan cuts on every now and then we replaced the oil sending unit a couple months ago. When we really need the fan to kick on it don't and for what ever reason this truck has no override switch like our old columbia.

Install a manual switch. That way you can turn it on and off ahead of time. 30.00 tops for switch and wiring.

Yes any T/STOP switch will work, hook to 2 wires at ele. switch on fan control where air line lead to fan clutch,

I just did what passingthru69 suggested to you today on my truck. I have a slightly different problem then you but it's works fine. My fan wouldn't shut off. Found that I wasn't getting any power to my fan clutch solenoid. Power opens solenoid on mine and let's air to fan which turns it off. No power turns fan on. Cost me 15 dollars to get it working.

Did you try this? I was wondering why my Volvo doesn't have a manual fan override switch like most other trucks
