Does anyone have the part number for the factory installed fridge for the 780?
I'm about to get a 780 company truck and I want to have one put in and have it look right and be warranted by my Volvo dealer.
When I called my local dealer he said the two they typically put in are "aftermarket" .
I don't want that. I want the fridge that would have come in the truck had it been order with a fridge so that I know I can get it serviced by any Volvo dealer nationwide.
Thanks in advance.

Get ready to shell out $1100. You can buy 7 dorm fridges for that.

Truck fridge will sell you the fridge and the trim to fit it to the cabinet. It's the same as the Volo dealer install.

To get the trim pieces from Volvo you need to order the refrigerator as part of a custom built tractor or stand in front of the parts guy with the exploded parts diagram. There are side and bottom blocks and trim.
The Volvo dealer in Jeffersonville IN is willing to do the parts chase for other oddball parts so you might try them if you want OEM.fencitup and The Gryphon Thank this. -
Is there something electrically that makes the OEM fridge a better choice to a 'dorm fridge'?

I've seen it as factory in a Columbia with factory trim which looked good. Also a KW as aftermarket with truck fridges flange which also looked good. We were stripping wrecked trucks. They stayed where they were installed, but some of the just shoved into the cabinet installs did some bouncing around the sleeper.
It's a standard size. If you search for it you'll find it in RVs. The tiny home people and the solar power community like it as well. And cabin cruisers.
It's all in the installation and the trim and blocking. The eBay sale doesn't mention trim.
Without trim there will be a gap between the fridge and the cabinet sides. It allows the fridge to slide into place. And holds it in place. And it will be different for different cabinets.
Call Volvo and ask whether it is the fridge they install in your sleeper cabinet configuration and if they will sell you the trim.
Or set it on the shelf and live with the crack. (the door will cover most of it.) And find another way to block it in.The Gryphon Thanks this.
