Fan clutch solenoid energized all the time from the ecm. Already melted one solenoid. The new one stays hot around the clock unless I disconnect the batteries or remove the ecm plug. It doesn't go through a fuse. I disconnected the temperature sensor. No change. My feeling is the ECM has malfunctioned somehow. Does anybody know what will be the best approach to resolve this problem. I will appreciate any ideas. THANKS!!!!

My Freightliner had the same problem--had to replace temp. sensor (located by a.c. compressor)

Best way for that issue go to cummins sometime isx engine have a tendency to burn up the ecm and they either don't run fan at all or all the time depends but cummins is pretty good at it
