I have a 2007 volvo engine with the D13 EGR non DPF, the Jake Brakes work just fine when used for short/small periods. However when used for an extended period of time like when coming down the I-5 grape vine the Jakes stay on and will not disengage even with the switch in the OFF position. Any ideas? No check engine light

    Sounds clutch spring related.
Pull her into a Volvo shop, the one I hit in Cleveland always did the diagnostic work cheaply for my company. Seems most Volvo shops will do the diagnostic work on the cheap. As far as the Detroit, if it's related, you might have to pull her into a shop that's more geared towards someone that works heavily with it. I know I had issues trying to line up work with my ISX. Typically, the truck would go from Volvo to a Kenworth shop, if they couldn't get the issues fixed. Which was once. Those Cummins are good as all get out. But you got yourself a DD...so...huehuehue.
