    Plastic oil pans???? Really!

I hope they don't start making plastic pistons, rings, inserts, bearings, heads, & exhaust pipes.

looking s8 up at the front pan bolts you can put a 2x4 on the bolts and jack up the board on the pan bolts, only need to get 2-3", are you replacing as a kit- mounts/bolts/nuts/washers/spacers., if not look at the threads real close for wear from being loose.

I've changed a #### ton of these and I really don't understand how a 2x4 is going to support the engine or better yet what happens when it breaks the K my way I have done it is you have to remove radiator even if u do lift engine no way to remove the mount I've always lift the engine with a forklift from the front metal leg on the sides of the mount

Tie it around the fan clutch have done it before and it holds just fine only try to keep it closer to the block side and not fan side and the bottom cross member is a batch to take off since the frame opens up I wouldn't suggest it radiator easiest way to go by far have it done in couple of hours tops

You would sugest removing radiator only or with intercooler and other parts, i think i have to do this job togeter with water pump, i just need to see i if i need the pump or only gaskets, i have oil leaking from water pump at the junction to engine timing cover.
