Well yes at least that's what I can do tell everyone what terrible service they can expect from this company, but is that going to change anything I really don't believe so . The truth is we are our worst enemy putting up with all this . The fact is trying to fight big corporations on your own is a fight with slim to none chance of success and I don't have neither the time or resources to do that and they know that very well.

I'm thinking, when does the "Lemon Law" kick in?

I'd tell them if they can't fix it or warranty it, give me a new one, If they can't do that, I trade it off

If it's out of warranty the dealer can fix the shifting mechanism and all that but if the tranny itself is toast it has to go back to Volvo for a rebuild, what happened to it? How many miles on it? Why not just have a rebuilt installed? My dealer always has one in stock usually, they tell me they have never had one fail in an over the road truck only ones they have seen blow up are from off road and heavenly abused trucks. Gonna cost you the same or more to do a rebuilt when you get it home plus towing??

Hey bud, any updates? how are you doing did you tow the truck ? are you going to buy 3rd Ishift transmission or dump the truck? A friend of mine bought a new Volvo 670, 2014; 2 weeks ago the ishift was gone had to replace it with 20k miles . This trucks with ishift won't have any resale value by the time are out of warranty; unless Volvo drops the price for reman or offer the option to install manual. Who's going to take the risk of this 20,000$ transmission ?!

    EXACTLY!

Volvo engineers just cannot understand why we are not falling all over ourselves to rush out and buy their Ishift truck. Maybe they should ask the marketing and sales dept why?

I've weighed this issue and decided it's not a wise choice except for big fleets who want to get cheaply trained drivers and trade the truck before warranty is out. That is the only market segment that will benefit from the Ishift.
