knocking or slapping noise 05 volvo ved12. please help!!!!!

    Yeah I'm thinking that's what happened to mine or the roller froze up and was grinding into it. Hoping it never happens again

    That Noise - is your Rocker Arms -- your needing a new Cam and possibly new rockers arm assembly. ** Look for a shop that REALLY understands this
    installation, many will dismantle your engine and tell you that there are other
    major issues going on - be careful - properly diagnose this with a VOLVO
    DEALER .. then get it fixed.

    Volvo will charge you 300 to take off the cover and look see.
    you may need a gasket after the top comes off.

    My 2012 D13 makes the knocking sound like described above and no smoke (I recently replaced the injectors). What could be the issue?
