Any idea is it a maintenance item that need to be changed once every few years? It is the little metal box mounted on top of the cooler toward the front. Saw it as an maintenance replacement item in my old service warrenty contract. That piece is 70 $ from the Volvo. But it dnesnt mention often it need to be changed.

Ok. I found the answer from the service manual
    EGR Vibration Damper, Checking
    1
Remove the vibration damper from the bracket onthe reed valve housing.
    2
Check the condition of the damper by shaking vigorously. If internal movement is noted, the damper is faulty
    and must be replaced.

Note: The vibration damper MUST not be disassembled. If damper is reassembled incorrectly and then reusedwith a new EGR cooler, premature EGR cooler failuremay occur.
    3
If no movement is noted after shaking the damper, installthe damper to the vibration damper bracket. Torquemounting bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft-lb).
