2013 Volvo and Idling

    I am going to be driving a 2013 Volvo and wonder if they come from the factory with a time limited idle? It is a D13 with Ishift. Is there a way to bypass the shutdown without reprograming?

    dude I got stuck with one of those for a day and there must be a way but I could not get the thing to idle. I drove an 07 Volvo for 2 years and all I had to do with that was tap the gas or clutch when the idle shutdown started, but I tried everything with the new one and I just could not get it to work. google said you could do the cruise like with most trucks but that didn't work either. so I ended up just freezing that night haha.

    Thanks: I am not worried about freezing yet. But I sure don't want to die from the heat!!

    Hi idle shut down is a customer parameter that is only installed if required. If u want to by pass it . Pull out brombs brake plunger and drop of hand brake. The vehicle will not move due to the secondary brake being on .
