I have a 2007 Volvo 670 about every 2 weeks i have to put that Dot 4 oil in for the clutch brake the clutch peddle will simply get soft and not engage I'll put the oil in and it hardens up but when i stop I'm not seeing any leakage i wonder if there's air somewhere in the system any suggestions.

If you need to add Dot 4 Brake Fluid it means you have a leak, it's either your Master or Slave Cylinder. It's better to just change both and be done with it before it leaves you stranded.

Listen and obey, Grasshopper, to these words of wisdom. One Road Service would buy a lot of hydraulic cylinders. The dollar value of the time spent waiting for help and not rolling miles can't really be estimated - but it's an important number.

If you have a leak, air and moisture are likely in the system as well. Air, moisture, and brake fluid can cause your cylinders (both master and slave) and lines to corrode. Or at least that was my experience on an old Pete cabover I once had. If one of the cylinders freezes up while moving, all you can do is cut the engine and step on the brake to stop. This kind of issue needs fixing right away.

I feel like I am about to learn something. Where in the sam hill does brake fluid go on a big truck?

Some trucks like the Volvo use a Hydraulic Clutch, hence the Master and Slave Cylinder for it. It uses DOT 4 Brake Fluid in the Reservoir.

I second the advice here. Get that slave or hydraulic line replaced asap. It WILL leave you stranded and you will not be able to stop or start.
