Im trying to replace it on '07 780 with Walker Megaflow. I was told its 9in diameter, but it looks to me like its a 10in. Anybody knows?

The common size is 10" outside diameter with 5" inlet and outlet.
Most 9" diameter mufflers are on midsize trucks with 4" inlet.
Though Volvo trucks are different in so many ways.

How much of a difference will this new muffler make in terms of Horsepower ans MPG? Curious because I'm thinking of upgrading my 98 Volvo with a new exhaust pipe.

I'm also interested in changing my muffler this summer when I change the pipe under the cab.

Should I consider changing my 5" single exhaust to 6" size for decreased resistance and fuel mileage improvement?

    Thanks
