low air buzzer

    Got a 07 Volvo 670. the low airbuzzer stopped working. the turn signal stopped clicking also. i opened the cluster and there was a brass nut ziptied to the back of the speaker which is soldered to the cluster .i live in Illinois.does anyone know what the law is the warning light still comes on.

    If I'm not mistaken DOT requires the low air buzzer to function.

    DOT may not be aware that your buzzer is inop, but they will certainly be able to notice if your turn signal isn't flashing.

    Low air buzzer is part of the inspection and they have checked mine multiple times during inspections. That is an out of service item also.
