Just leave the light out...and pull the other bulb, too. Unnecessary, annoying for everybody else on the road, and downright dangerous on the 2-lanes due to the fact that very few vehicles on the road with fog lights actually have them aligned properly so as not to blind oncoming traffic.
Do everybody a favor, save yourself some money, and just leave the dern things off/burned out.Mooose Thanks this. -
yeah shure... This is problably the worst advise on this forum..i want to have a good vision in bad weather or night because 80% my driving is night and i didnt want to install HID KIT witch really gonna buzzer other drivers i just trying to get little better vision! If your headlights are properly adjusted, you wouldn't think you need the fog lights.
Snailexpress and Mooose Thank this. -
Thats true..but they are ok but the fog lights are helpfull too , there is reason somebody invent them)) by the way i hate those suckers with not adjusted HID lights..
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Fog lights are not designed to provide long distance lighting. That being the case, the "extra" light they provide is only illuminating objects your headlights should have already lit up, and if you are running at highway speeds, any extra light they provide is lighting up an area long after you can do anything to avoid what they've just lit up.
When fog lights are improperly adjusted to enhance long distance illumination, due to the nature of the lens, they cause glare for oncoming traffic, decreasing THEIR ability to see. They shine up into mirrors of vehicles ahead of you, only slightly better than having an idiot behind you with his high beams on.
Fog lights are one of the dumbest thing the manufacturers ever put on a vehicle.Snailexpress Thanks this. -
Sorry for the trouble Pedicure is giving you. Note the difference in wattages. These numbers are generic, all brands should be the same, like GE or Sylvania
Here's what I found:
881 27 watt
https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100892/EIKO-881-BP1.html
886 37.5 watt
https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100896/EIKO-886-BP1.html
896 37.5 watt
https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100901/EIKO-896-BP1.html
I don't think any of these will cause computer problems with the truck.
Hope this helps. And Pedicure - get back on the porch, and go see an EYE DOC!
Although I DO AGREE when it comes to REAR RED FOG LIGHTS ON EURO CARS.
Can't see a thing when following in snow or rain.
And don't get me started about running with 4ways flashing in bad weather! Brings out my Dirty Harry...Last edited: Sep 14, 2014

Any of the 880 series will fit. I just recently put in 880 led bulbs. I first upgraded my fog to the 886 and the highs to a 50 w one (can't remember which) but they all fit fine.
The guys complaining about them are just whining babies. It's not the fogs, it's the fact that most volvo drivers don't know that the 2 screws on the front that look like they hold the lense on are actually adjusting screws. Aim them down and you'll be fine.
I painted the top half of my reflector so absolutely no light can other oncoming traffic. I've even sat facing my truck in a lawn chair to verify it. So now I know anyone complaining about mine are just big sissy princesses and need to remove their panties.
