Just leave the light out...and pull the other bulb, too. Unnecessary, annoying for everybody else on the road, and downright dangerous on the 2-lanes due to the fact that very few vehicles on the road with fog lights actually have them aligned properly so as not to blind oncoming traffic.

Do everybody a favor, save yourself some money, and just leave the dern things off/burned out.

If your headlights are properly adjusted, you wouldn't think you need the fog lights.

Fog lights are not designed to provide long distance lighting. That being the case, the "extra" light they provide is only illuminating objects your headlights should have already lit up, and if you are running at highway speeds, any extra light they provide is lighting up an area long after you can do anything to avoid what they've just lit up.

When fog lights are improperly adjusted to enhance long distance illumination, due to the nature of the lens, they cause glare for oncoming traffic, decreasing THEIR ability to see. They shine up into mirrors of vehicles ahead of you, only slightly better than having an idiot behind you with his high beams on.

Fog lights are one of the dumbest thing the manufacturers ever put on a vehicle.

Sorry for the trouble Pedicure is giving you. Note the difference in wattages. These numbers are generic, all brands should be the same, like GE or Sylvania

    Here's what I found:

    881 27 watt
    https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100892/EIKO-881-BP1.html

    886 37.5 watt
    https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100896/EIKO-886-BP1.html

    896 37.5 watt
    https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100901/EIKO-896-BP1.html

I don't think any of these will cause computer problems with the truck.

Hope this helps. And Pedicure - get back on the porch, and go see an EYE DOC!

Although I DO AGREE when it comes to REAR RED FOG LIGHTS ON EURO CARS.

Can't see a thing when following in snow or rain.

And don't get me started about running with 4ways flashing in bad weather! Brings out my Dirty Harry...

I'm not sure about your truck but I converted my headlights to LED which are normally more than enough without killing oncoming traffic, however late at night when there's no oncoming I've got a set of HID aux lights that will light up Vegas.

Awwww, how cute! Knowing that you lack a valid argument to refute any of my points, you resort to the juvenile tactic of attempting to discredit, insult, and belittle me by referring to me outside of my name. The one point you ALMOST made was grossly misdirected, as I'm not the one claiming to need auxiliary lighting above and beyond my headlights in order to see where I'm going at night. Better luck next time.:biggrin_25525:

Any of the 880 series will fit. I just recently put in 880 led bulbs. I first upgraded my fog to the 886 and the highs to a 50 w one (can't remember which) but they all fit fine.

The guys complaining about them are just whining babies. It's not the fogs, it's the fact that most volvo drivers don't know that the 2 screws on the front that look like they hold the lense on are actually adjusting screws. Aim them down and you'll be fine.

I painted the top half of my reflector so absolutely no light can other oncoming traffic. I've even sat facing my truck in a lawn chair to verify it. So now I know anyone complaining about mine are just big sissy princesses and need to remove their panties.
