D12 valve cover

    I need to remove the valve cover and it looks pretty straight forward. But, my question is what's the easiest way to get the egr mounts out of the way? Just take the brackets off from top of cover?

    Should take care of it. I never removed the cover, but when there was an oil leak around the cover thats what I had to do to get to all the bolts to tighten them.

    P.S. The leak I had was after the shop had the cover off. If I remember right they said it can difficult to get the gasket installed correctly so it seals properly.

    Do u have D12D EPA 2002? if yes, just remove EGR line that runs from cooler to intake. U cant slide cover to let it out becouse there is big cam wheel that does not let u do it. I used to remove clamp on intake manyfold and bnd line a bit to remove cover
