I know stories about dead drivers in many different trucks, in cabovers, conventionals...

Usually becouse of exaust leak ore LPG hob inside cab.

First of all I'd advice u to inspect exaust for leak, not idle, use bunk heaters ore APU and keep LPG hob in frame box.

I was getting some fumes from the KW I drive so I tightened up the shift boot and applied silicone to the base of it and to the top of the boot where the shifter lever comes through and that helped 100%. I also got a carbon monixide detector inside for if I Idle at night.

That didn't fix the problem, just masked it. Find the leek and fix that.

Its not easy to find leaks in this trucks with DPF with all the pipes and faild gaskets joints/ I was yesterday in shop at Volvo again for same reason, they did a regen to increase the pressure and checked for leaks, took it for a road test, replaced 2 clamps and a gasket, but I doubt was fixed. Some of this are leaking only when the truck is moving shaking the joints. Last year i hooked a wireless webcam and flashlight in 3-4 positions around the engine and watched on the laptop while driving, I didn't find the leaks; I'm thinking to buy one of this Flir thermal imaging camera ,was launched last month, but works with iPhone 5, only. http://www.bostonglobe.com/business...es-see-dark/Dsv93ohoPBp9wvwFdEXueL/story.html

The problem in my truck is blow by gases which are common in high mileage trucks. No way to fix that unless the motor is rebuilt.
