    some truth about exaust gas. Normally if engine idles, exaust gas cools down to temperature, when it is heavier the air (really 90% of exaust gas is mix of CO2 and H2O), so it goes down, so it is very important to avoid exaust leak in places where it is hot.

    Or you can just not idle.


    Personally -if its below 68*F and more than 34*F, I shut the truck off. I get much better sleep that way

    So what do we do about it. My truck is in the shop right now for that same reason. the fumes were so bad I had to open all windows to sleep which then put my life at risk another way.

    What you are saying is about right, but no company will ever admit it,,,, check out www.truckmonoxide.com there is a story in there about a driver went into a 6 week coma diagnosed as being from Carbon Monoxide and stories about many drivers being found in trucks that did not wake up!
