Hi, guys,
I have this ongoing boost problem on my 09 volvo with d13. It started when driving. NO codes. What is happening is when boost pressure goes to about 12-13 a little vibration starts and boost almost stops to go up. I need to press harder on the gas or sometimes release and step on gas again for boost to go up normally.
History of repairs: about 60k miles ago new EGR and VGT solenoid. Also last weekend took care of intake leaks i had.
No regen problems at all - new 7th injector and clean dpf. Regens are normal in length and occurrence.
Any idea what can cause my problem?
d13 (may be) a boost problem

I had about same lag / delay in turbo boost response when the turbo actuator was bad and also when the 2 Bosch boost pressure sensors on ERG cycle get clogged ; I replaced actuator 2 times, and 3rd time last year I decided to replace the whole turbo was still original at 1.2 mil;
If is the actuator be careful , is going to throw a turbo code, and derate you may need towing, and some Volvo shops are going to try to sell you the whole turbo for 4800$ installed, but the actuator is 900-1000$ parts+1-2 hour labour; -
Johny 41 sounds correct. Good luck!

can you guys tell me where are both sensors located. i will try to clean or replace them b4 spend money on vgt actuator. last time i paid $1200 only for the part.

How much boost was lost when you actuator was on its way out?

Check your air to air for any leaks. A minor one would cause this. Also, be sure to clean the vnt vanes before/when changing actuator. If the arm is stiff or sticks, take exhaust side off of turbo and spray oven cleaner in it while moving the arm back and forth. Do this until it moves freely. Original actuator may still be good if this is the case
