Has anyone else had theft issues with Volvo service centers?
Today I had my truck in for a minor repair at Volvo Denver. When the repairs were complete, my wife & I came out to our truck and found cabinets left open, and various things from the cabinets left strewn about. There was change all over the floor, possibly from the change jar kept in one of the cabinets. None of these cabinets had anything to do with the repairs that were performed. We possibly have things missing, but since the repairs took longer than we'd hoped, we just got back on the road to make the delivery on time. They do have a sign posted stating they aren't responsible for lost or stolen items. I guess they already know their people are crooks?
This is was not the first time we've experienced this. We also had several things stolen from our truck from Bruckner's Volvo in Ft. Worth. (To be fair, when we informed Bruckner's, they mailed us a check to compensate for our missing items.)
To us, it's the same thing as if a plumber (or any other service person) came on your home and went thru your wife's underwear drawer, or stole painkillers from your medicine cabinet. It sucks.
Thanks for letting me vent.
