Yeah no egr valves...was looking for a backup truck and was curious about the d12 no egr performance and reliability. My 04 d12 has been a dream..1.4 mill and virtually no issues. Egr valves changed once..turbo changed at 1.2 mill and today changing oil sensor and crankcase sensor. They are leaking oil but still working.

I would imagine the reliability would be the same or a little better. No egr means lower soot levels in the oil. The block and guts are practically identical

    I run D12C.

First EGR engine is D12D, but there were no EGR D12D engines for EU market/

    D12A, D12B and D12C have no EGR.

Really D12C and D12D have minor mechanical difference, but totally different ECMs, fuel injectors and wiring. D12D injectors are much more expensive (two solenoid injectors), so we had experiense of removing stock ECM, install d12c ECM on D12D, injector swap, removing EGR and swaping turbo. Engine runs like a D12C.
