Those wont fit my engine, the D12 needs a specific pattern, very similar, but i searched around and every repsir kit was between 700 and 900 dollars, i finally found that left it to me at 295 plus 85 over night shipping, even with the shipping its still half the price of anywhere else, i wish volvo would sell the gasket for the head by itself, but u gotta buy the whole head to get it...
No Air pressure, plz help

depending on the material used for the gasket, why dont you make your own?
-
Cant find that compressed stainless steal anywhere
-
don't need a compressed stainless steeel, if u get heavy duty gasket material, some auto part stores will carry it, a sheet of it is about $25 depending on it's thinkness depends on if ull need more than 1 sheet and of thickness they'll b, make sure u go a little thicker than ur old gasket so u don't get head closer then b4 some compressors only have so much room b4 piston hits head

Stainless doesnt compress!
My concern is if you took the head off and you found a stainless wafer, that you are not looking at a head gasket yet more likely a spacer. The spacer is to keep the pistons of the compressor from pounding into the head. More than likely the gaskets were destroyed when you opened the head. There were ways of saving the unit with out the need of taking it apart. The simplest way would have been to use some air type check valves.
Other items that can be used for gasket material (depending on the size). Beer cans (split down the side and laid out), copper or aluminum flashing (buy it at Home Depot), brown paper bags are also a good material. Cereal boxes aka paperboard. Form a gasket cement can be used in some applications, lay a thin layer, LET IT SET UP BEFORE ASSEMBLY!!!! -
Ok then its not a gasket, dont know what to call it but cant make it outta them materials, needs to be a high compressed stainless steel, View attachment 74288
