It's an whole new Assembly, from what I have seen my HID's are much brighter then the over prices LED's if I remember right it has to be a 2007 model VNL and newer, something to do with the parameters would not except the new lights.

if you want the best HID lights, with no errors or programming: http://www.hhrvlighting.com

    Be carefull with Volvo's.
They don't like Led's that are setup poorly.

I dont like what he does. I can get all that and do it for less then half the price. The new headlights are different so it eliminates the need to change projectors.

What is this alternative? I'm a company driver so I need a "no modification solution". 2012 Volvo 780. Thanks!

The led lights are a whole assembly for 1600 bucks. That's not exactly half the price of the 500 to do the hid conversion that only takes a screwdriver and 4 screws to change, it's so easy that my wife did one and she's not mechanical at all........ Truck lite needs lcm reprogramming as well.

Now that being said, if your housings are all yellowed and no good then changing the projector won't give you the results you want anyways, like putting hid on a lense that's covered in mud.

If that's the case then for the price of new housings and the hid conversion your better to just get the led.

Also remember that the hid kit he offers is a good quality 4300k kit and not a 40 dollar Chinese made 6000k kit that only belongs in a 15 year Olds Honda civic. Sure you could get a cheaper kit but your getting a cheaper kit.

Yeah I understand my headlights are old and yellow and new ones cost 400 each so for 2 it's 800 and I still gotta buy the hids for 500. I'm at 1300 and I feel that led is better then hid. Also trucklite is saying that their headlights won't turn yellow like volvos

I'd just get the LED's then. They may not have quite the candle power of a proper Xenon HID setup, but if your lenses are trash I'm fairly certain you have to replace the whole headlamp assembly anyway. You'll be impressed with the LED's...they put on quite a light show if you've seen other trucks with them out on a dark road.
