Lost pedal last night in Birmingham coming up to I 20 on Arkadelphia right past the Pilot. Clutch pedal had been low all day yesterday but the shifting was ok with good clutch release. Had no free play it just came up to where free play usually started. Came up to traffic light and heard a crunch as l put clutch pedal to the floor where it stayed. Got her in gear and made it to my delivery and to the yard. I figured l needed a clutch release spring since my old one was on the floor by my feet. Pulled the cover and discovered this. Any ideas of the parts needed to reconnect the two? Thanks!
Must not know my own strength! Clutch pedal to master cylinder problem pedal on floor

I also would really appreciate some advice on how to get lower steering column off with the hood cables holding it on tight. Thanks.

I don't think you should just replace your Clutch Spring. If the Master and Slave Cylinder for your Clutch are the Original ones I would also replace them too, since they are both prone to failing too.

10-4 good idea thanks!

From what I see in the pics, it looks like your pedal pivot pin/bolt either came 'unglued' and slipped sideways, or is missing altogether.

Last owner who had truck since it was a year old said everything was new in clutch system. He had it done a couple years ago.
Thanks KW Cajun! I wonder what would cause that! -
Yeah, the rod going down to your master cylinder isn't even hooked up to where the clutch pivot point is.
BTW, when the previous owner said "everything is new in the clutch" typically means new clutch disc, new/resurfaced flywheel, and new pressure plate and throwout bearing, but NOT any parts by the clutch pedal. -
I was called & asked if someone could go look at an out of state lease operators truck broke down at the traffic light a mile away and loaded. Lunch time someone was me. Got it started in low and he followed back.Mechanic put the rod back on and I thank he said he found retaining clip on floor but he could not get the return spring to work. I figured hyd clutch needed full return to keep working and rigged something on it. It worked but pedal pressure was high. Later he said his shop fixed it that week end but he did not know what they did. It has already been awhile since your post but I thought I would share that with you because if you have high pedal pressure something else probably caused the problem. Advised him not to use the clutch unless absolutely necessary, he made it home and I hope you do also. I do not understand the steering column question.

Thanks for the information I really appreciate it! The shop is saying I need a new clutch pedal assembly which I'm going to pick up. They are also saying that they believe that the master cylinder was binding up and could be the reason why assembly came apart. When they tried to put it back together there was there was pivoting on the pedal so we're going to get the new clutch pedal assembly for it. They are saying to replace the master cylinder the whole aluminum pedal bucket on the firewall has to come out. Does that sound right to you guys?
As for the steering column. The lower steering column cover has the hood release latch. I had everything loose but for some reason I couldn't figure out how to get the cover to come off because of the release cable holding on to it. I didn't see where you could release the cables from the latch. So I could not get the cover off.
Thanks again I really appreciate you all. -
if pedal return spring is weak piston closes fluid intake hole and bubble wont goig out, so u have to ajust spring and bleed clutch
