Volvo 630 2009 bunk heater

    Iv bought volvo 630 2009 3 weeks ago and until now I don't know how to turn the bunk heater on !! Sometime it works and sometimes It doesn't !! The problem that Volvo dealer " where I bought it" told me that the heater can never work while the truck engine is off ... I should run the engine all the night to stay warm but the problem that it works sometime without the truck engine but not all the time !! What the trick ??:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

    What brand heater is it? Whats the point of a bunk heater if you have to run it with engine running LOL,,,,,,

    Is there some buttons or a keypad on the rear wall?

    Exactly!! and yes I have keypad on the rear wall ... Somebody told me that this type of heaters can work without keeping the truck engine running for 5 hrs only !! After that it will need to be charged by turning the engine on for like 2 hrs

    Lol, ive kept mine on for up to 12 hours with no issue.......You should have no problem at the end of your day stopping and keeping it on for 10 hours straight.......

    If im not mistaken they wont work without your brakes being set.........If you turn it on it takes about 20 seconds for kind of a "system check" if it starts to blow then cuts off you likely have an issue.....They are very easy to service, it may just need cleaning......check out some youtube videos on bunk heaters.....

    Is that a Volvo brand bunk heater? I was thinking you may have had a webasto or another one...

    Its the same concept though.......watch some you tube videos on how they should fire up and run...
