So I changed all my tank fittings and another fitting on the turbo control box because they were leaking and everything is fine until I start driving to get loaded. After I drove 25 miles I noticed my "F" gauge losing air faster than my "R" gauge. I pulled over and listened for any leaks and could not find anything on the tanks or around the truck. Get to the loading place and get under the truck to check for leaks with soapy water. The check valve on one of the tanks was creating bubbles but nothing horrible.
I also checked if I had air in tanks. I had air in both primary and secondary tanks but no air in the supply tank. Is that normal? It has air while compressor is pumping but as soon as it sneezes the air disappears and I don't know where? Btw, both tanks hold air fine when I'm parked.
Please HELP!
No air in WET tank and losing air when driving

Helowrenchturn2 Thanks this.

I wonder why it started doing it right after I replaced my tank fittings and a couple other small air leaks.

I just went under the truck while it was pumping air. After it sneezed the air kept leaking out from the release valve thing so I think that might be the issue.

Try not to buy a rebuilt one, new dryer are not much more, you can buy a kit with new valve an 0/rings. all you need are the tools and time.
-
Quick Fix; dump ur air, remove the air dryer cartridge, brake parts cleaner, spray the air dryer assembly, wipe down with paper towel removing the carbon funk & parts cleaner. (reinstall cartridge)

I'll try brake parts cleaner but I did just pick up a new air dryer. I don't have time to rebuild it since I'm already loaded and need to hit the road soon

Not trying to be stupid, but you changed all your fittings, did you do them one at a time or many at once? What I am getting at, are you sure each line went back where it came from, you could be pushing air the wrong way or to the wrong part of the system, allowing it to leak out of the tank without being noticed. That could also be why your dryer is not shutting off the purge valve if it is being back fed. Just a though.
