I've got a 2012 Volvo D13 and I am interested in locating a HID kit for it.
I am interested in anything that will illuminate better than the standard bulb, having said
nothing too brite but say 5 times brighter than the standard bulb, white in color, easy installation
preferebly plug and play with no modifications to the computer.
Contact by e-mail if you have any recomendations please.

Only thing you need is the bulb. Which is a h11. I believe. I got your private message. And I'll reply in a little bit. But I can get you a kit for the headlightS. Or I can get your head lights and fog light+ the relay to run it all. Together. Volvo has a crazy electrical system. Which will require the relay (easy to install) to run head lights and fog lights. but for just head lights no relay needed

Is there anyway to run low beams with the high beams on a 2015 VNL730?

Matter of fact, I have a deep space HID projector kit with a couple months of use that's for sale of you're interested? ......Comes with a set of headlight housings free, they're installed in if you want them too... $300+ shipping -
I know the lights on some of the head lights assembles from Volvo are the not best, when it comes to candle power, If you want the best head lights, Truck Lite LED's are the best lights out there.
I had HID projector kits from deep space, They don't hold up over time. The weak point are the ballast, they are all made in China. If you want a good working ballast that will last, it will set you back over $250.00 each.
the best price I found for LED's http://www.advantagetruckparts.com/volvo-truck-parts/set-volvo-vnl-led-headlights/ -
It's a company truck...not looking to spend that kind of money, but thanks lol. I'm just looking for a plug and play solution to put in the factory projectors, but would need a solution for the hiss since it shuts the lows off when you put in the highs...constant on/off kills his bulbs and ballasts

With hids you rarely every have to,use high beams especially if you do a fog light and highlight conversion to hid. For around 100 dollars a whole kit is,worth it if it lasts 6 months let's say. My kit was 55$ each and it lasted me a year and couple months on one set of which was more than I could ask for or ever expected.
I was selling the same kits here but staff deleted my add because I'm not a partner.
mxpx148 Thanks this. -
Aftermarket HID will last lifetime on the car. We do that 150k miles in 1 year on big rigs. After that ballast goes bad or light bulb. Yeah they light up nicely but must have spare ballast and bulbs all the time
Right now my latest setup is blackout United Pacific projector headlights with led halo ring and H11 5000k led kit. They are good as $1500 Truck-Lite Volvo led headlights if not betterLast edited: Nov 25, 2015
Midwest Runner and mxpx148 Thank this. -
My hids lasted me a whole year and some months. I don't run them during the day tho so that helps. but if they last 6 months I've gotten more than my money's worth img. I'd rather keep changing hids personally but everybody has their opinion on that.

Don't get me wrong I like the HID's
I just want good candle power all the time, I didn't want to work for the truck, I want the truck to work for me.
I don't want to be fixing it when it about -10 out side.
