Really don't know but I'm driving a 2014 and the electronic speed control on the cruise seems to get a little weird sometimes. Have the codes checked

clutch will more likely slip in top gear than lower gears. hows your pedal free play?
-
need a clutch adjustment or a clutch
-
What kind of transmission?
-
It has to have clutch free play. If the transmission is coming loose from engine will do that. Check for gap between housings. Could be a trans. problem but would expect noise or funny shifter feel.
-
Could be the throw out bering is getting ready to go out.
