    Anybody know if the extra Board work normal days , like a scheduled shift. And do they have a night shift in Lagrange Georgia..

    Extra board guys work a normal schedule like everybody else. Don't let the "extra board" name scare you. It just means you don't have a full time run or not on a program. They have a set day and time out. But you may and probably will have to slip seat. Lagrange does have guys that run at night but those are bid runs that are mostly done by the guys with seniority. A new guy coming in probably won't see those.

    Hey noninetofive are you out of Lagrange dc ? If so I've seen they have day cabs does that mean they have local work up there to?.and also how is the people up there in lagrange i will be starting soon just waiting for them to call I passed everything and everything has been verified..

    I run out of Opelika - LaGrange is our sister DC - all of the HR and safety for both DC's is handled out of LaGrange. We run a lot out of there and they run a lot out of Opelika. As far as the day cabs go, those are high seniority guys that are doing that. Some are doing 12 hr shifts, some run their 14. One thing you'll find out about Walmart is that EVERYBODY is friendly and helpful!! No matter what DC you go in and out of, they will always be willing to help and give info. The people in LaGrange are great!! Everybody from the coordinators, to the area managers, to the shop, you won't find a bad attitude in the crowd!! The drivers up there are a real good bunch of guys! Very friendly and helpful!!
