Hey guys. At the moment I'm working OTR with the company that trained and got me my CDL A. After my year is up though, I plan on getting out of OTR and going local. I was curious what some well known large carriers were that do roll off dumpsters as I think I would love that type of work?

Also, what's an average wage for florida dump drivers?

As a general rule, wages for trucking in the Bikini State are are the lower side. Some are just plain disgusting.

Just curious, looking at your moniker, do you hate America and love Cuba? Are you a radical Marxist?

Yes, that's exactly the point I'm trying to get across.

    Anyways, roll off dump companies?

on a back road from georgia into florida. there's a panel by a abandoned building i'm guessing used to be a church LONG time ago. this sign has current wages, printed january 1 2012. the local dump drivers were making as low as utah. LOUSY. wages have dropped $4 from when i started 13 years ago.

Woodys check out your local waste companies for a roll off gig. You may not start off in that seat but can reach it I've been running a roll off truck for three years at a large waste company and am OK with it. As far as pay everywhere is different some are hourly some are day rate and some are incentive meaning pay per can hauled. Your large company will most likely have a good insurance plan and retirement while your smaller one might pay a little more won't have the benefits. The yearly pay for roll off is IMO close to 25 to 65 a year. 25 being your small small company. Hope this helps

CTI out of Louisiana runs tractor trailer roll offs, it won't be local, but it's not really OTR either. WM does roll offs but good luck starting off with roll off there you usually have to work your way in to it.
