Thanks guys for answering a bunch of questions I had. Live near Dalton, Ga. terminal. I have a conviction 43 years old. It was for B&E- recieving stolen goods. Suspended sentence and 1 yr. probation. Not clear if the was a felony or not. Lived the straight life since then-no arrests. Does this disqualify me for WS? Thanks.

also not many people do, but i will sometimes...instead of a lumper you can unload yourself and get paid. its like $1 a pallet maxing at $50.

money aside it can get done faster although some places seem like they take longer with your paperwork so you will use their services next time haha...just a conspiracy theory i have. but if you have some light pallets like paper towels its easy money, because its not much work and theres more pallets to get paid for. i really just do it because i hate lumpers, otherwise laziness has a way of getting the best of me.

i tell them you only get half if you take longer than an hour. not that i can do that, or they ever would take under an hour. they have to take forever because 200 bucks for 30 minutes of work is outrageous, they have to stretch it to 4 hours so it looks like they only get 50 an hour.

you get really bad attitude for doing it yourself sometimes. luckily im a ######## so i usually piss them off more than they do me haha.

C'Mon now, who is going to ask the really important questions? Nobody? Ok I will. Here goes.....

1.How much chrome is on your standard truck?
2.Does the company supply 3,497 chicken lights, or is the driver responsible?
3.Do I have to furnish my own "snarling teeth" for over the grille?
4.Does the CB come with company supplied echo function?
5.Are trucks "castrated", or will I be able to turn "triple digits", even in truckstop parking lots?
6.Do us retired NavySeals, Army Rangers,Blue Angels, and Special Op vets get extra starting pay? (even if we've somehow managed to put on 210 lbs and lose all but 4 teeth since our "super secret deployments")
7.Does the company supply a belt buckle the size of an average trash can lid,or Do I have to supply my own? (This also applies to Pointy Cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and a chain driven wallet)
8.Will the company pre program the US Marshalls on speed dial for us?
9.Will the company airbrush 'I've Driven More Miles In reverse Than You Have Forward" on the back of the sleeper for me?

Thanks for any answers folks!!! :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

American Trucker has convinced me to cntact Watkins Shepard... but it looks like I need to be closer to one of their terminals ... the closest one is maybe 5 hours away. I've got a call into a recruiter... we'll see.

I am not a lawyer but I believe in GA if you break and enter with the intent of committing a felony you could be guilty of a felony.

Felonies include but are not limited to the following:

Official Code of Georgia Annotated § 16-8-7(a) states that:
A person commits the offense of theft by receiving stolen property when he receives, disposes of, or retains stolen property which he knows or should know was stolen unless the property is received, disposed of, or retained with intent to restore it to the owner. "Receiving" means acquiring possession or control or lending on the security of the property.

Not sure where I am going with this. I guess I was trying to help you figure out if your charge was a felony. Looks like it depends on the value of the stolen property you received.

rubberducky; thanks for reply. Well firstly the charges was in Maryland. There were 9 of us involved. I was 3 blocks away when it took place. But I DID recieve a handgun taken from the store. It's value was probably 50 bucks. But all the guns together was probably grand larceny. I'm pretty sure the charge was plead down to 'receiving'. Thus the suspended sentenance and probation. The problem really is that there are no records other than " INV B&E-DISPOSITION: ( other, GLTY SUSP SENT PROB 1 YR )" that's it!!! Every thing else has been destroyed. From that year; theres' not even microfiche. I was 18 so officials involved are either retired or dead. If they just check GA. I'm good. If they check FBI/NCIC it will show up. In all reality; any decision will default to; 'YOU'RE A GUILTY FELON,... PUNK!' LOL! I imagine being hired will depend on the company policy.

    mje Thanks this.
