Anyone know if Watkins runs E -Logs? Is there a future date that all companies will have to switch from paper to E-logs?

    Thanks.

We're still on paper logs here. There's no set date to make them mandatory but it's being pushed hard. I think Watkins will run paper until we are forced to change.
As far as trucks go we have freightliners and mostly volvos.

Montana, ori. if all goes well. Either of you guys run into Canada? wondering what that is like. I know they said you live in a boarder state up North that might be an option. I'm guessing other that than that its 48.

Yeah actually I run a dedicated route right now from Helena mt. Into alberta. I've been doing it for close to two months now. It's really a piece of cake. Good consistent miles and I'm usually off every Friday night and Saturday. The border doesn't hassle me at all and I've only been held up twice due to paperwork mix ups. If you can get into short line or a dedicated gig it's definitely worth going for. You don't get to see near as much country but the miles and schedule are much more consistent than OTR

That sounds exactly like I'd like to do. Do you have to pay your dues before applying fo that dedicated run or did you luck out? What city do you live in in MT. I'm thinking of relocating in general from Phoenix. If you have any tips. love the outdoors and am a big trout fanatic in our high elevation mountain lakes. Plus unless you plan on learning Spanish, all these Southwest boarder states are shot far as I'm concerned.

unless you are out of the Helena or Lakewood, WA terminals you won't see Canada.

I actually live north of Salt Lake City utah. But I just don't go home at all and am willing to live out of the truck in Helena so they let me do it. As far as timing, it really was just luck. When I asked about it they just happened to need someone. I am looking at relocating to Montana though, I love running up here.
