Those multi-stop loads come out of Myrtle and Santa Fe Springs, too. I loved running furniture. It's more interesting and when you can run it right adding that stop pay to your mileage pays makes for a good paycheck. Conover drivers can make a good living and still be home a couple of times a week--a lot of drivers would kill for a gig like that. Obviously furniture isn't for everyone, but I actually thought it was fun and I couldn't get enough of those runs. I also ended up in more small, out of the way places running furniture than I ever did with general freight. Furniture routes even took me through several national parks, and more than a few state parks, too.
Besides, we all know most truckers need all the exercise they can get, myself included.
Watkins vets can you answer a couple frieight questions?

Can anyone describe their experience with the multi stops out of the Myrtle terminal? I spoke to WS and they said something about you load and are out for two days with approx. 10-15 stops, back to terminal to load again and then another two days out with the same # of stops. Is this pretty accurate and where are the typical runs from Myrtle? Thanks in advance.

On Flatbed division you don't have to load!! Just strap or chain and tarp, put up side kit or tear it down.

My wife and I are considering teaming WS out of Dalton.... anyone have any information about where and what our lives will be like?

I'm with you ONESHOT!!!......I was considering W/S. Sounds like a good place to work IF you're a 23 yr old full of spunk & vinegar. What about us old guys who have done all the pushing and pulling many years ago? -
