im based in modesto. not a bad place really. they have security on weekends now, so its cut the break in issues down. Honestly cant say that i really deal with the "terminal" proper all that much. but the people are nice. And there is now a porta potty for those late night arrival "needs". make sure ya take hometime over the first weekend of the month for a free truck wash! lol

Im officially a trucker. I completed my first trip last friday from SFS, CA to Helena, MT a total of 1185 miles. I was then fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) to sit at the Helena terminal all weekend. I had a few issues that needed to be fixed and since it was a holiday weekend no one was around or were around and just pretending to work. Cant say I blame them, I would probably have done the same.

I rather enjoy listening to other drivers compete for the worst experience. It always seems that one can top the other. I also had a good time chatting with SpiritWolf as he was stuck there too.

Im now in Great Falls, MT waiting to pick up a load tomorrow morning at 10 then heading to MD.

    jomar68 Thanks this.

It's goin good, it's definitely a lot more high stress than driving but I think it will work out good.
I've done that trip your on. It delivers to a bakery right on a college campus. The driveway to the place rolls right up through the campus. It will be an alley dock off the street. Well good luck!

I've also done that one. Looks like you're going the wrong way, at first.

This load is really a good test for someone new like me. The weather is crap, windy, raining, lots of hills in MT and WY and its heavy 44k. Truck, trailer and load come out to 77k and some change. Also the firm delivery time is tricky. I wasnt sure if I was going to make it earlier today with all the weather but I did pretty well and did 624 miles. Just over 1200 to go and 2 full days, Im delivering at noon on Monday.

I did look at it in google maps and its in a place i wouldnt expect.

jomar68, sherlock510 and pattyj Thank this.
