It was passed last year, but no funding for it.

    Nothing as of now.

I'd guess Watkins Shepard since it's posted under Watkins Shepard.
Probably meant starting in July through end of year, to get it rolled out and everybody trained.

Guess you guys will be doing this.

I thought most companies were going to sit back and see what develops.

I guess. You never know with some of these posters.

6 mos to train everyone on ELOGS? You might be a genius but evidently Watkins isn't convinced their drivers are if they need six mos to learn how to operate an ELOG ;-)

A lot of companies have them in they're trucks, however just as many if not more dont. And they are not cheap. EOBR debate has been going on for a while. You can find those other treads else where on here. I had one in the truck I drove and I didnt mind it.

The right system is inexpensive and will give a return on investment . The XRS system has no equipment or installation charges . The only fee is $35 monthly .
I think W&S was "encouraged " to go to EOBR's after an audit .

Im not sure how many trucks they have.
But when my company went to them I think they had 3 terminals set up with training. Class was a couple hours. Eberu driver had to attend. Then upgrade quallcomm.
It wasn't like you routed 3000 trucks in off the road to do it.
It was a soft roll in. So yeah 6 months is probably a viable time frame To gget system in place and all involved up to speed.
This also includes training their ops safety and log depts too.
Exactly, you can't figure out some of these posters.
