I was interested in W&S after a recruiter came to our school. He was a driver and told us that he mostly hauled carpet but occasionally hauled furniture and had to unload it. When I talked to someone from the company on the phone I was told just the opposite. That I would be mostly hauling furniture, and having to unload it, and occasionally would be hauling carpet. If you go to the W&S forum and read through some of the threads there you will get an idea of what it's like.

Which school did you go? I went to Katlaw
I am thinking in applying with WS, but if we need to unload furniture truck load that's pretty crazy.

From what I have read from W&S drivers, unloading furniture isn't bad. It consists of pushing a few pieces to the back of the truck...someone else unloads it out of the truck.

From what I understand, yes, there is extra pay for those kind of stops. I think it is $20 per stop.

    OttMan Thanks this.

$20.00 drop pay is only out of the Conover, NC and Santa Fe Springs, CA terminals.
