Watkins stated 100 new trucks are being built and introduced into the fleet Goal is to have all OTR trucks 3yrs and newer by mid year... Going e-log... fired 40 drivers... Smith system... Already a good company as far as treating the good employees as family... plenty of miles.... Geeez, let 'em breath a little.

It's good to have the questions. Always working on being better. 145 trucks and they started showing up last week. People Net's start installing next week and the Smith training for all started two weeks ago. Still not happy having to let people go but only so many chances you can give.

I'm a WKSH employee and got a call today to come turn in my old '08 Volvo for a '14. I was shocked, to be honest, but anyway my point is, they are definitely upgrading the equipment. Still a ways to go, but moving in the right direction. Also, the company itself is kick ###, moving beyond the equipment. Great work atmosphere, good mileage. I'd say 90% positive, 10% negative working for them. Which in my book is "grass ain't always greener" good enough for me.

Thank you. We are always looking to be better and safer.

Hubby and I decided to go with W&S. After comparing them with all the other trucking companies, we felt that W&S was the best way to go.
We have been OTR for a few weeks now and I must say that we are impressed with this company! Everyone we have met, talked with, dealt with, or encountered at this company has been super nice. All of the dispatchers are very helpful and courteous. All the instructors at orientation were awesome! Very helpful!
We received a brand new 2015 Volvo automatic!
The miles have been very good.
We have no complaints whatsoever.
We are happy with our choice at W&S!harlycharly55 and californiatruckgirl Thank this. -
Very nice hear. Please let us know what we can do to keep you happy.

Personally i am not looking forwards to upgrading to the newer Volvo automatic, from what I've seen the interior is smaller, automatics have been tried by several large companies and quickly dropped, the DEF is just another hassle that will cause more maintenance issues I'm sure.
I'd rather keep my freightliner and the working APU on it, the new trucks don't have APUs so it just means my idle time will shoot up -
The automatics work perfectly, you won't have any problems.
DEF isn't a hassle, you don't have to fill it up every time you fuel. Maybe every fourth or fifth time.

i think it's the whole width of the sleeper that is smaller with the volvo, a tiny bit of room around where the stick would be does not compensate for that though
